Head Of The River Race
Takes place every year two weeks before the Boat Race in March. Hundred's of crews from London rowing clubs, including the London Rowing Club, row the Boat Race course...backwards (Mortlake to Putney) and is a marvelous sight to see all these crews on the water.
The BNY Mellon Boat Race - Oxford vs. Cambridge
Possibly...definitely, the most famous rowing race in the world takes place between the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge on the tideway course between Putney and Mortlake. A 4 and a quarter mile course that is fiercely fought over every year in March/April and has been raced since 1829, making it one of sports longest running rivalries

Aston Martin GTE Racing - Le Mans 24 Hour
22 - 23 June
This year marks the 90th year of the Le Mans 24 Hour race. The glamour of F1 racing has somewhat stolen the limelight away from this once pinnacle race, but still remains a firm favourite with what they term ‘true race fans’.
It takes place on the 8.5 mile and picturesque Circuit de la Sarthe and arguably the second most famous motor race in the world, after Monaco. The race attracts over 250,000 spectators over the weekend, with by far the biggest foreign contingent (80,000) turning this part of a French field into a small corner of Britain.
Its famous features roll off the tongue and are etched forever into every motorsport fan’s memory, Dunlop Bridge, Porsche Curves and the possibly the most famous straight in the world, the Mulsanne Straight. Once bitten by the race people vow to return year on year to meet up with new and old friends to soak up the unique atmosphere as well as…or even more than, the racing itself.
This is no sprint, like F1, but an endurance race of the highest calibre…and that’s just for the spectators!

Henley Royal Regatta
3 - 7 July
Taking place on the first weekend in July this quintessentially British sporting and social phenomenom remains uncorrupted by the outside world and is possibly the last real bastion of rigid dress codes with booklets on how to dress for the event coming with the tickets. Boaters and blazers abound...but not mobile phones which are banned in the Steward's Enclosure.
The Hackett Rundle Cup - Tidworth
Traditionally takes place at Tidworth Polo Club in Wiltshire where the Army Polo Team takes on thier fiercest rivals, the Royal Navy. A grudge match that always throws up a few surprises including one or two appearances of either of the Princes. The Tidworth Polo Club offers a splendid back drop to this family orientated polo event in the middle of July
