Step aboard Belmond Royal Scotsman
for a journey like no other
Timeless, elegant and luxurious in equal measure, here’s everything you need to know about Belmond Royal Scotsman.
Every globetrotting gentleman will be able to appreciate the glamour that first class train travel holds, and travelling on board of Belmond Royal Scotsman is absolutely no exception. When it comes to luxury navigation, it truly doesn’t get much better than this.
Belmond originally launched the service in 1985, with the current Edwardian style Pullman coaches launching shortly afterwards, in 1990 when each coach was proudly refurbished with all of the impeccable grandeur of a stately home by James Park Associates.
Today, the Royal Scotsman is synonymous with comfort and style, boasting 22 private, tartan-clad cabins for the 40 passengers it can fit onboard. As the train weaves its way through the Scottish highlands, around lochs and beneath heather-covered mountains, passengers inside can be found relaxing in either one of the train’s two fine-dining carriages, its second-to-none whisky bar or the new Bamford Haybarn spa. Pretty outstanding for a train journey, right?
No matter where you’re heading on your journey of style, the Royal Scotsman is the perfect departure point and a place where polished sartorialism is actively encouraged. From breakfast in a classic tweed blazer and merino rollneck, to dinner dressed in one of this season’s Mayfair suits or evening jackets, there are few better dressed journeys to enjoy today.
